In Gujarat, the nine nights of the navratri are celebrated with a traditional dance form called ‘garba’ which is performed on all the nine nights of celebration. The famous “Dandiya” dance is synonymous with Navratri in many parts of the country. Navaratri in southern states of India is celebrated with the Golu decoration, which is the artistic display of dolls on tiers or steps made of wood or steel.
